Haunted Amidst Autumn Glory

It was another glorious autumn day in the country.

The brilliant sky intensified the crystal clear water in our pond

The leaves were spectacular -- as usual

Our cows were as happy as they could be

Our roses basked in the bright autumn sun

Our Emperor of China Chrysanthemum just began to greet the brisk autumn air

And under this same glorious autumn sky,
a few miles down the road,
a house was haunted ...

Spirits have surrounded the premises,
blocking all entrances ...

  2. Let me just first say, Wow! What incredible autumn photos, they are what autumn dreams are made of. Your haunted house, is inviting to me, oh yeah a bit spooky too, but that's the point right! I like the one newer looking object on the old house, the skylight window, that is surely new to the old house!

  36. loved your spooky stuff. :)

re your question about Christmas cactus: We call it Novembercactus in Sweden. As you mention, it mostly blooms in November. But....it likes chilly nights to get buds forming. I had the plant on my balcony in September with some chilly nights. That is why it blooms early. Last year it was cold in May and the plant bloomed in June :)
