But, being in central Virginia, our autumn foliage is just beginning to get underway.
I love the few weeks right before our autumn temperatures start to color our leaves. During this short window in early autumn, there are subtle signs everywhere at our farm indicating that summer has departed and that autumn foliage will soon dominate our landscape:
The air is crisp and clear
The sky is brilliantly blue
The shadows are getting longer
Berries and seeds are plentiful
Pumpkins and gourds are ready for Halloween
[Believe or not, these two cute little pumpkins are gifts from one of our cows ...]
Flutter-bys are enjoying the autumn nectar
[If you missed my last post on Monarch butterflies, please visit it here.]
Our glorious autumn is just around the corner.
Have a fabulous weekend,
